PPC Myths and Misconceptions | EP215 PPCChat Roundup

Updated: Jun 3, 2023

In today's episode, we have the awesome Julie Bacchini taking us on another fantastic topic of our PPC myths and misconceptions. And this was such a fantastic topic, as I said last week, because of the passion in the responses we've got. Again, we were only able to get through three questions and I'll state what they are because it's very easy what we did.

We went through misconceptions that clients have about what paid search is and what it can do for you. Misconceptions that we get from the platforms themselves, about what platforms says is good and what is not good. And the third misconception is about the industry experts. What we say to each other in terms of paid search advertisers between agencies and different paid search marketers and what we feel some marketers say that are myths and misconceptions.

There was a lot of speaking through our frustration again - we do love a good rant. I hope you.

Listen to what the experts reckon are our biggest PPC myths and misconceptions:

Questions discussed:

Q1 What are the biggest general PPC myths you’ve encountered from clients or stakeholders? How did you dispel them?

Q2 What are the biggest PPC myths you’ve encountered in the industry, in other words, things that get discussed by PPC practitioners that you think qualify as myths? How/do you dispel them?

Q3 How about myths that are pushed by the platforms?
